Have you seen those baby slings?
Well, I made one with my infinity scarf and
Tux loved it... he hung around for quite some time.
Totally makes me smile.

Aliens? and More Thoughts at Random

Here are a few of my puzzles, favorite things, and interesting thoughts:

1) YOU must, yes must check out BING today!! Especially if you don't live around trees (like me!)

2) A where's waldo for you:  (featuring tux instead of waldo) Can you find the tux?

3) I laughed today OUT LOUD today... all by myself, not even tux was there!!

4) What do you think? ALiens? these rings don't get wet when it rains... Crop circles? Let me know!

5) I am pretty convinced I need THIS!

Let's Be Honest here..

after all this is a blog. My weekend was pretty boring and horrible. Lots of crying, tissues, headaches, confusion... well you can read about part of it here. But instead of drowning in the negative sea that was, let me show you some of my favorite parts about the weekend.

I loved watching these three amigos. Tux, Peewee, and Second Cat (who's given name is actually Precious). Peewee was digging and the other two wanted in on the action! They are so adorable. And despite my distaste for little dogs most of the time, Peewee (can you tell my 5 year old neighbor named him?) is a pretty nice dog.
This is Second Cat's Second appearance on Steen Days!
On Friday, the last time I saw Peter until sunday 10pm (!!!) I got to go to his school and bring him lunch! HE has the weirdest office, but I love it. He is a traveling teacher and his office as you can see is probably meant to be exclusively a janitor's closet. but that is ok. I love it anyway! Its his own little space tucked away. Everyone needs a secret place. ;)

The man gobbles up chilli cheese dogs from DQ
I also did some creative crafting. Made stars from yarn and knit fabric.
I am not a very good knitter or crocheter, but I do dabble everyone once in a while!
found pattern here
I also got my feet wet in finger knitting:

see instructions here
I tried a lot of things, but most not good enough to be on the internet
like I tried this, but it wasn't as cool as Cakies ;)

Chin up!

Bits and Peace s

Here are some silly updates! I will have to pass
on a couple of recipes to you soon,
but today, oh today
I saved some pictures that sum up my days of recent:

Math Movie Mondays - the first went well!
We got a lot of math done...
even despite distractions

I blew up all these by myself at work no doubt!

Yes, I added crab to my mac and cheese...
and then I felt very fancy

I have biked every day to work save one....

<3 Him! Peter's first  day of school.

Math Movie Monday

 Actually it hasn't started yet...

We've decided that on Mondays we will correct math papers (Peter being a math guy and all) and watch a movie together.

So until then Tux and I are just hanging out...
But it will begin soon! Just waiting the excitement to start!

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?

who me?
well... its summer time and as I explained before - how can anyone stay inside with pools that need swimmers, a sun that needs bathers and life that needs livers! no not livers as in livers and onions... LIVE-ers... oh well, hopefully you get it.

So, Peter and I went on our yearly (2nd so far) camping trip! All alone, four hours away, and everything could of gone wrong, but it didn't and it was amazing!

obviously Tux was quite upset that we didn't bring him... but I bet he would be even more distrubed if we took him with us ;)

Cat on the Moon!

Peter is studying ( I hope to get some studying done for an upcoming sermon too!). He is in this mad craze to get all his homework done.right.now. which is good since its due soon.
I am so proud of him! He made a little calendar and everything!
But all this studying makes it so I don't get to see him very much.

So we decided to have a kind of routine.

1)We eat dinner a little after he gets home.
2) Then he goes to our office and works his little behind off!
3) Right before I am ready to go to bed we hang out for about 40 minutes. We try to do something insanely wacky....

Just like this:

We had a green screen and everything!

More Baking and Napping

 Remember my last post?

YAY! I am get so happy when I say I am going to do something and then do it! ;)  I did make the doughnut holes from the frugal girl! However they definitely taste like muffins and look like muffins so mine didn't turn out how I imagined... ahem like doughnut holes, but they were all eaten, save one for Peter's lunch, so they must of had some taste appeal. :)

~

Other than that its been pretty slow around my head quarters. I am waiting for my dear friend Britt to come! wooooOOOOT! Then maybe you'll start to see more pictures of someone other than TUX... even though he is one amazing cat.  Which is why I wanted so badly to show you our napping pictures. He always picks the best spots on the couch. :)
Sleep well dear friends.

Going Crazy... as usually.

Have you seen it?
Over at the Perfect Pear, Lauren, has posted a picture of me!
Wowzas! Not a very flattering pic (my bad!), but the picture is suppose to be about the adorable poppy ring she sent me! Lauren is so sweet, so if you have a chance, hang out at her blog. Its so inspirational it makes me want to get up and do things. Seriously! Who doesn't need a little inspiration to do something other than watch the tube? Way to go Lauren!!

More craziness includes- I can't sleep, but Peter's asleep and Tux finally is laying on my lap. He has been one bouncy cat this evening! He has been into his food, jumping on the tv, jumping on my back, playing with the door stoppers, you know the ones that make a funny sound.

Sometimes I think Tux is a toddler, wrapped up in a lot of fur... it could happen... right?

Well, Here is a good night to all!

The Sickness moves to my Brain

Still feeling Blah.
It is like a pit in my upper stomach. ICk! But amid the ache I have made some important discoveries.  I have come to realize that the BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) prescribed to me by my doctor although probably effective drives peope, mainly me, insane.

The evidence is clear: after watching countless episodes of Next Top Model in Britain and Mexico (although I do not speak Spanish... yet) I became utterly and obsessively concerned with exactly what was in those little suckers. I am referring to of course the chocolates inside the heart shaped box that I received for Valentine's Day. Restrained from eating them, they took up all of my thoughts. How could I make a choice (when I got the a-okay) that was both delicious and speedy? Ah ha! I got out a knife and surgically split all the chocolates left in half.

But if you are still not convinced: Then, seeing the board game Clue already out on the dining room table, I began to play by myself with two friendly teddy bears.

Notice how they are sitting on couch, chair and walking in?
I love rearranging the people in all the rooms!
tux wanted to play, but when he plays he ends up eating
the people and weapons, so he has been forever banned.
Oh and could I mention a few other things?

I do not have bananas or any made rice so I am more on the AT diet.

I had a horrible dream a night or two ago about a large meatball of death and then woke up with a stomach ache.

The same night I had another dream where a 2nd grade teacher forced her students to eat huge disgusting bowls of ice cream, they begged me to help them. But when I did.... you guessed it... I woke up with a horrible stomach ache.

Tux won't go outside, because I think he is more of the quiet poetic type then the fighting type and I saw another cat out there. Plus its below freezing

I lost at the Clue game I played against those teddy bears. - please don't rub it in... I am very sensitive about it.

Sick Me and The Great Idea

I drew a picture of me sick, yesterday. It also includes Tux my cute little cat.
He likes to dump over glasses filled with water. Its kind of his thing, like a super power.

Sadly though this picture is taken with Photobooth because once again, I cannot find my digital camera. Its nothing too special, but when I need it, POOF its gone. So I got to thinking what if I made up posters like the one below and posted them all over my house. Maybe then, my camera would come home to me.

And that my friends is my great idea...

Give me a break- I am sick. :)
